Objective:
I have worked in the construction engineering industry for over 9 years. I would like to change my area of expertise
into a field where I am able to help others to the best of my ability. I would like to get into the medical field so that I
may do just that. I plan on attending school during my off time in order to further educate myself in the medical field.

Professional Experience:
United States Coast Guard 1996 – 2000
Served as an Aviation Survivalman and Narcotics Specialist (Atlantic Task Force). Responsibilities include general
maintenance of aircraft and sea-going vessels, rescue swimming, and search and seizure of illegal narcotics and
firearms in patrolled waters. Served in many locations along the eastern U.S. coastline and northwest coast along with
patrol sectors in the Bering Sea as well as ventures overseas.
CDG Engineers and Associates, Inc. 2000 – 2005
Senior technician responsible for performing proper non-destructible testing (NDT) procedures that improves the
reliability of tests results and aids in the quality control of the concrete and soils. Trained in onsite and in house soil
testing. Project involvement has included the testing of onsite compaction of soils with Nuclear gauge, testing of
footing with Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) as well as Static Cone Penetrometer (SCP), and lab testing consisting
of sieve analysis, atterberg limits, moisture content, proctors, clay content, soil cement mix designs, and as project
manager at Gulf State Park in Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, Alabama. Duties also included estimating cost and
materials for various construction sites and figuring quantities for contractors.
Carmichael Construction Testing and Engineering 2005 – 2007
Served as a geotechnical consultant responsible for non-destructible testing (NDT) and monitoring placement of soil
backfill, concrete, and asphalt on various construction sites. Laboratory analysis performed daily on such materials
including proctors (standard and modified), moisture content, sieve analysis, atterberg limits, clay content, and testing
footings with Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP).
Houston County Road and Bridge Dept. 2008 – 2009
Served as an engineering inspector. Duties including but not limited to: In-service bridge inspections, and roadway and
bridge construction inspections. Some drafting and surveying was required as needed. Duties also included estimating
cost and materials for various construction sites and figuring quantities for contractors.
Aerotek Inc. 2010 – 2010 Served as a testing technician and inspector for construction of the Opp Industrial Park
mass grading. This position was a temporary job and position. Performed all density tests of project and site
inspections. Site inspections included compaction, soil observations, silt fence installation and maintenance as well as
other erosion control techniques used by contractor.
