WORK HISTORY

Consultant / Instructional Technologist & Designer: Blue Bus Consulting (October 2009 - current)

Blue Bus Consulting is an evolution from RJM Consulting. As owner and senior consultant, I am part of a team of

information and business consultants, specializing in bridging performance gaps in business, through the use

of instructional design principles and process improvements. I evaluate business and training needs, establish

objectives, design, develop, implement, and evaluate instructional materials and programs. Training

mediums range from; online or computer based training, one on one mentored sales training, training manual

development, classroom presentation and coursework, etc. We provide custom business solutions that are

affordable, targeted, and measureable.

Instructional Designer & Technical Writer: RJM Consulting (2003 – July 2009)

Establish contracts with small businesses to improve employee performance and remove the confusion from job processes.

We established target behavior and identified weak links in company processes. I designed training manuals,

trained sales people, designed and developed customer and end client contracts, developed media kits for sales,

and oversaw all marketing and advertising efforts. Services ranged from business development consulting to

targeted instructional design programs.

Digital Solutions Sales Executive / Western States Sales Trainer Nextel Communications (2001 - 03)

Senior trainer and sales executive, promoting all “partnered digital business solutions.” I trained and managed the Western U.S.

territory. Starting from scratch I played a senior role in the marketing message, collateral development, and the design and delivery

of all coursework and classroom training. I was responsible for the sales performance of over 400 sales people.

Technical Consultant / Instructional Designer M-Power (1999 - 2001)

Launched VO-IP startup, for a national telecommunications company. Responsible for Northern California territory, training sales

teams in consultative sales and technology solutions. Developed all training materials using Instructional Technology methods from

the initial assessment, establishing measurable objectives, interpretation of complicated technology, design, develop, implement

training, and evaluate results. Worked side by side with Sales Managers, interfaced with clients, and established all high level

contracts. I modeled the difference between selling super-whizzy-technology and providing genuine business solutions.

Sales Manager & Trainer (Communications Process Evaluator) Standard Register (1997 - 99)

Standard Register was a International printer providing multipart forms carbonless forms, variable data printing, database

development, and digital forms - for large businesses. I specialized in streamlining communication processes and document

solutions for Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities. I trained and supervised eight sales people operating out of the Northern California

office. We fulfilled corporate contracts by evaluating existing communication processes, content and medium, and then redesigning a

solution for more effective and cost saving results. My sales team exceeded quota by 125%.

Instructional Technologist & Technical Writer: Hansen Information Technologies (1997 - 98)

This was an independent contractor position. Hansen Information Technologies develops software to run governments and

municipalities. I redeveloped the manuals and software contracts for Hansen Information Technology government and business

clients. I streamlined the training and development process, through evaluating the sales process, interviewing subject matter experts,

and understanding client needs. I then oversaw the implementation of a content driven matrix and organized a boiler plate system for

ease of assembly. These changes dramatically the sales and marketing departments ability to quickly and accurately create and

deliver training and presentation materials. Improvement of the software manuals, marketing materials, and contracts ultimately

improved the company bottom line through increased sales.

Senior Instructional Technologist AMMG (American Multi-Media Group) (1993 - 97)

Interactive computer based training and multimedia training and software development company - serving fortune 1,000 companies.

I was the senior instructional designer, team leader, and consultant. I worked with businesses to determine training needs, establish

objectives, research content and interview subject matter experts, write content, design the navigation and flow, coordinate graphics

and art director efforts, work out all technical bugs, and project manage the entire development process from A – Z. I then oversaw

the delivery and implementation of training programs, and worked with customer to revise and evaluate results. I played a key role in

contract development, evaluating opportunities and providing consulting to prospects and clients.

Sales Executive / Sr. Trainer & Document Specialist Eskel-Porter Networking Solutions (1991 - 93)

Eskel-Porter was a turn-key total solutions networking company serving commercial, state and federal government customers. I

became the companies “technology sense maker.” Bridging the gap between technology and business purposes. Primary

responsibility was to develop business by improving the effectiveness of the existing sales force. I developed training modules that

helped sales people better understand the nuts and bolts of the technology solutions and the approach to applying them to create a

solution for our clients. I also worked with end clients to clarify objectives and support the sales people as they moved through the

process from needs assessment to solutions development.

Sales Consultant Bianci Commercial Printing (1986 – 89)

I sold commercial printing solutions to marketing departments in software and technology based companies throughout

California. Bianci printing was the largest producing printing facility in Northern California, with a full design and

graphics department, prepress and scanning services, large format digital and sheet-fed offset printing, and complete

bindery. I exceeded all sales quotas.
