Anson L. Clark Summer Research Scholarship

Summer 2006

I was one of 16 students chosen to work in a research lab at a graduate

level before entering college. I was placed in a neurobiology lab under

the supervision of Dr. Gail Breen. I studied the mitochondrial proteins in

Alzheimer's Disease.

Terry Foundation Scholarship

Fall 2006 - Spring 2010

I was chosen as one of UT Dallas' first 11 Terry Scholars. The Terry

Foundation Scholarship was a four year scholarship. I met all of the

requirements throughout college and graduated as a Terry Scholar.

Summer Research in Criminology

Summer 2007

During the summer after my freshman year I assisted in research in a

criminology lab. I received senior level independent study credit for my

work my sophomore year.

Senior Research in Psychology

Spring 2010

During my last semester at UT Dallas I worked in a psychology lab for my

research credit. I worked in Dr. Dowling's lab studying music perception

and memory.

Recognized for Service Hours

Spring 2007

At the end of my freshman year at UT Dallas I was recognized for having the

second highest number of service hours in Alpha Epsilon Delta, one of the

largest organizations on campus.

UT Dallas Terry Scholars Secretary

Fall 2006 - Spring 2007

My freshman year I was elected to serve as the secretary for the UTD Terry

Scholars. I kept records and helped to build an organization for our

scholars at UTD.

Chemistry Student Association Secretary

My freshman year I was elected as the secretary for the Chemistry Student

Association at UT Dallas. I kept records and minutes of our meetings and

helped to plan the organizations events on and off of campus.

UT Dallas Terry Scholars Service Chair

My sophomore year I was elected as the service chair for the UT Dallas

Terry Scholars. I served as a liaison between our organization and other

organizations in our local community. I organized events on campus as well
