Pilot Plant Engineer, August 2007 - April 2010

. Oversaw periodic operations of laboratory pilot plant for

petroleum processing. Duties included composing test

instructions for operators to establish desired process

conditions, observing tests and adjusting conditions based on

process targets, and providing twenty four hour, on-call

support for operators.

. Supervised a team of 6 - 8 pilot plant operators. Duties

included scheduling, training, and evaluation of operators.

. Worked closely with scientists from CTI and a major oil

company on data analysis for experiment development and

timing, as well as, development and design of mechanical and

chemical process improvements.

. Coordinated analysis of pilot plant samples with laboratory

managers and chemists.

. Participated in the development of a second laboratory pilot

system for the conversion of plant oils to distillate range

hydrocarbons. Duties included implementation of chemical,

heating, flow, and mechanical systems, development of system

P&IDs, implementation and de-bugging of process control and

data acquisition software, and layout of process control

operator interface.

. Participated in safety review of pilot plant systems
