Personal Statement

I have extensive experience in security in the Forensic Mental Health

Field. The drive to succeed, willing to learn and am always up to a new

challenge in any environment. Have a positive attitude and can work

efficiently on my own.

I am seeking a position where I can grow and excel while giving my best to

an employer.

Work Experience

May 1983 - April 1994 May 1996 - February 2010

Eastern State Hospital, Medical Lake, WA

Forensic Security Attendant

Maintained security on a Forensic ward for court committed insane patients.

Job duties consisted of operating a security control panel by use of video

cameras throughout the locked facility. I used 2-way radios with direct

contact to Eastern State Hospital Security, Medical Lake Police and the

Washington State Patrol. Escorted high risk patients to court at the county

courthouse and assisted with controlling violent patient behavior when

needed. Also responsible to observe patients, identify and record any

unusual behavioral changes or moods.

U. S. Postal Service, Shadle Park Post Office, Spokane WA

Mail Carrier

Unloaded mail off the U.S. Mail trucks throughout the day starting at 5 AM.

Responsible for all mail and packages to be at the correct terminal

throughout the station for casing and distribution, sorting mail into

correct post office boxes, delivering mail to different routes each day by

using a Postal service truck, and collecting mail in the evenings. My

average day equaled close to 10-13 hours, 6 days a week.
