Manager Product Services / Procurement 2006 - 2010

Negotiated all material pricing for 26 large customer satisfaction research studies that produced 40M paper surveys

annually including large volume stock purchases for paper, survey shells, outgoing envelopes, and business reply

envelopes. Reported to the Vice President of Operations.

• Identified quality suppliers and worked to establish business partnerships that achieved significant cost savings and

increased overall quality.

• Led an effort to identify commonalities across programs that leveraged large volume stock purchases reducing costs

Manager Outgoing Mail Operations 2002 - 2006

Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Print Center, Outgoing Mail, and Warehouse Operations. Print Center

produced 90M print images yearly, and Outgoing Mail of 60M pieces was shipped yearly. Managed 3 supervisors with

indirect reporting responsibly for 42 employees.

• Investigated, developed, and implemented an intelligent mailing system that produced an annual saving of $200,000

while greatly increase accuracy of mailings.

• Led the successful transition to an automated zip code sorting system that reduced labor cost by 35% and

streamlined overall mail processing.

• Conducted quarterly supplier meetings that opened communication channels between all stakeholders.

• Directed a cross functional team of 6 members responsible for reconfiguring warehouse operations to achieve

efficiencies and increase space utilization. Project was completed on time.

report creation for 27 different large research studies. Managed 8 employees in a 24 hour / 5 day work week. Reported

to the Vice President of Information Technology.

• Streamlined Data Center operations by establishing a catalogue system of tape backups.

• Realigned the financial operations of the Data Center that accurately captured / invoiced project operations.

• Successfully managed the transitioned from an antiquated print system to a cost effective Xerox printing system

resulting in an immediate savings of $225,000 in 6 months.
