Corporate Cost Engineer

Responsible for estimating manufacturing costs for new products and line

extensions. During the new product design process determine impact of

projects per year. The average accuracy of cost estimates was within

5% of the actual manufacturing costs.

. Researched, recommended, purchased and installed software to be used

in providing new product cost estimates and trained engineers,

designers, and others on use of software.

. Developed new product cost review process that allowed for improved

understanding of new product cost estimates and improved the overall

design process by identifying areas of opportunity.

. Worked with Cost Accounting on audit process of comparing

manufacturing costs with estimated new product cost, determined

reasons for differences, and if costs were higher than estimated,

worked with manufacturing to find methods to reduce costs.

routings and product cost reports from in-house AS/400 system to
