Instrument/Electric Controls Planner (1994 - 2010)
Coordinated, designed, and estimated costs, labor, and material
requirements for maintenance and project activities involving electrical
and instrument control functions. Included are control system integration
between analog and digital field devices and distributive control system
(DCS). Identified, specified, and acquired materials and services to
perform maintenance activities; utilized established processes, procedures,
requisition, p-card, or other accepted methods of procurement. I
interacted with vendors/suppliers to ensure materials and services met
design specifications and expectations. My position provided technical
direction, material and resource estimates for various instrument and
electrical control activities, including analytical process equipment;
pneumatic, hydraulic, and electric final control elements; and low- and
medium-volt switchgear. Performed outage manager assignments to ensure
critical path activities were completed within schedule and budget.
Utilized computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to provide
uniform work instruction through standard work estimates, preventative
maintenance requests, and historical data acquisition. Budgeted,
implemented, and controlled project activities as requested. Identified
and employed industry best-practice guidelines to ensure efficiency and
effectiveness. Provided training for generating station employees on
computerized maintenance management system (EMPRV) at CIPS 5 generating
facilities.
. Selected for Coffeen Power Station Flue Gas Desulphurization Project
Commissioning Team. Developed CMMS hierarchy including specifications,
online maintenance manuals, and location descriptions. Identified
commissioning spares and equipment startup requirements to validate
manufacturer warranties. Developed Preventative Maintenance (PM's)
requirements and associated standard work estimates (SWE's). Identified
capital and equipment spare parts and initiated setup into station
storeroom. (2009-2010)
. Served as team member on Business Process Re-engineering Project 1995-
1996.
. CMMS integration team member during merger between Union Electric and
Central Illinois Public Service Co. in formation of Ameren Corporation.
Instrument Man (1989 - 1994)
Responsible for calibration, maintenance, and repair of control system
components including transmitters, controllers, positioners, transducers,
switches, flow devices, temperature and pressure measurement devices,
regulating control valves, pneumatics, hydraulics s well as other process
control and analytical instrumentation. Interacted with lab and operations
