- Leading team, design and coding Official Transcript Request (OTR)
portlet application that allows students to request transcript, pay
online and receive encrypted transcript via email.
- Develop Financial Aid Online (FAO) JSR 168 portlet application to
replace the old manual system of Financial Aid processing.
- Design new application infrastructure and guideline under SOA on
Websphere Portal platform. Develop standard Theme & Skin with maximum
user friendly and W3 compliance for the university.
* Sr. J2EE & Portal Developer at IBM (07/`1997 -
05/2006)
- Convert "Channel", an old J2EE CRM application, into JSR 168 Portlet
to deploy on IBM Global Business Partner Portal. This includes
conversion of JSP pages, servlet into portlet.
- Lead design & development of "Price" application to provide real-
time inventory status and product prices/promotion of various IBM
products to internal IBM Sale Teams.
- Lead design & development of "Schedules", a J2EE application used to
track shipping/handling of various IBM products according to location
world-wide.
- Invent and develop "Single-Sign-On" (SSO) technology that helps IBM
clients login only once to various web/application servers and manages
their entitlements. SSO was designed following the MVC-2 pattern,
utilizing Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) and Tivoli
Identity & Access Manager (TIM & TAM/Policy Director) servers as
authentication and entitlement resources. SSO won US patent in April,
2002.
- Coding the front-end of "Global Partner Info" application, using
JavaScript, DOM and XHTML. This is a 3-tiers e-Business application
that connects IBM Business Partners into a shared supporting &
marketing line.
- Develop Manufacturing Remote Control System (MRCS) in C++. This
application monitors and transfers real-time control message in/out
manufacturing floors via TCP/IP
- Develop automated control programs for robotic manufacturing tools
(shuttles, robots to support tool designers, using Programmable-
Logic-Control (PLC) and Dynamic C.
