OBJECTIVEs
My skills are in Project Operations, coordination and implementation. I am
a continuing practitioner of Lean Management and Lean Enterprise, Lean
Facilitator Certified through the SME program, as well as the Lean
Enterprise Institute. I also have an extensive bidding and cost analysis
background. I am seeking a position that will utilize my varied background
to continually improve processes while reducing waste and thereby, costs,
without compromising creativity and craftsmanship.
Profile
I have worked in agriculture most of my adult life. Beginning with farming,
my family moved into landscaping, specifically lawn installation, in the
late 1950's. I began work with those crews in the late 1960's, continuing
through high school and college working summers and vacations. A liberal
arts background, with extensive design and media production emphasis, Due
to family health issues, I returned to Pesz Landscaping in 1987, re-
starting a long dormant maintenance division and growing it to over $900K
annual gross receipts, while managing design/build and remaining concerns.
I assumed principal design duties in 1996, daily operations in 1998.
Experience
Mariani Nurseries Hardscape sales division. Worked to standardize and
streamline the customer experience. Inventory re-alignment and reduction,
paperwork reduction and flow, and clearer lines of communication between
our staff, our clients, and their clients to better manage expectations and
product delivery. Successfully completed and Hardscape division was sold to
