Marketing Communications Expertise:
• Designed marketing materials and began an online marketing plan for the Big Rapids
Riverdays Festival in 2003, resulting in a 25% increase in attendance.
• Designed new marketing materials for the United Way in 2006, resulting in a cleaner
presentation of such materials.
Public Relations Expertise:
• Organized numerous promotional activities, including the Survivor Program at the Grand
Rapids Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure, attended by over six-thousand walkers,
runners, survivors and volunteers.
• Helped raise over $6,300 for "Thumb's Up For Kids" through co-chairing a Public
Relations Project focusing on awareness of children and families facing terminal or life-
threatening illnesses in the greater thumb area of Michigan.
Non-Profit Expertise:
• Successfully assisting with the coordination of volunteers for the Survivor Tent at the
Grand Rapids Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure since 2007.
