In November of 2001, I was promoted to Executive
Assistant/HR Generalist where my duties include:
provide administrative support to the GM, prepare
reports, memorandums, letters and presentations as
required, coordinate meetings, open mail and forward or
handle personally, screen, handle or divert calls,
develop and distribute weekly and monthly reports,
coordinate procedures for new hires, conduct
orientation meeting with new employees, maintain filing
system for applications and resumes from job
applicants, originate employee requisitions and follow
up until position is filled, prepare job offer and
turndown letters as requested, complete new hire
authorizations, initiate and follow through on
background check process, check new hire paperwork for
accuracy, coordinate advertising with ad agency for
internal and external job openings, work closely with
GM, dept. heads and Division HR to handle confidential
personnel matters when they arise which may include a
written coaching, corrective or termination and respond
to miscellaneous employee relations questions from
personnel to include benefits, company policy
interpretation and transfer to perspective departments.
I also fill in at the switchboard once a week. I also
key payroll on a bi-weekly basis, process monthly
credit card payments and run credit checks on new
clients.
