CAREER OBJECTIVE

I am seeking a career position with a good company. I am looking for

opportunity to move up and I am career minded. I have been working as a

soils technician for the past eight and half years want to continue to grow

in this line of work; also want to pursue more certifications in

inspections.

EXPERIENCE

08-09 to 04-10 CTE Inc.

Eng. Tech. II

Responsibilities include various jobs where I conducted compaction testing

with nuke gauge. I also did footing inspections, asphalt testing, and batch

plant inspections. On many jobs I was called to do ACI concrete, which

included casting cylinders, temperature of concrete, and slump test. On

special jobs I also conducted volume and air content test on concrete.

08-07 to 4-09 John R. Byerly Inc.

Eng. Tech. II

Responsibilities include inspection and testing of soils and other

material, in regards to construction for residential and commercial

building. This includes the writing of detailed daily reports on each job,

the reading and plotting of tests on plans for reporting. Working closely

with engineers, geologists, contractors and developers for various jobs.

The specific tests on soil include sand-cone test and nuclear gauge test. I

also inspect concrete, asphalt, and many other materials which require

inspection and testing. Along with all the responsibilities listed below.

Along with this I also conducted tag and I.D. on rebar, and was called to

do many batch plant inspections for concrete. I was ACI technician on

several jobs which included casting cylinders, temperature of concrete, and

slump test. I did footing inspections on several jobs, and core sampling

when needed.

10-06 to 08-07 Leighton and Associates, Inc.

Eng. Tech. II, Responsibilities

include grading and post grade observation and testing. I have performed

materials testing, including casting cylinders, lath inspection, pull

tests, and some welding inspection under deputy inspector. On one job I was

called to observe rock blanket placement, and conduct sand cone tests with

a 6 inch sand cone and a 12 inch sand cone. On all jobs I wrote daily

reports of my results and observations. I plotted tests on plans for final

reporting. All this included working closely with engineers, geologists,

contractors, and clients.

3-06 to 10-06 PETRA GEOTECHNICAL INC.

Eng. Tech. II

Responsibilities include grading and post grade observation and testing.

This grading was for a large residential track. I also plotted and all

tests on plans for final reporting, and wrote daily reports of my test

results and observations. I worked closely with contractors, engineers,

geologists, and client.

7-02 to 11-05 C.H.J INC., Colton CA.

Eng.Tech. I

Responsibilities include grading observation and in place moisture density

compaction testing for building pads, site fills, and utility line back

fills. I have conducted testing on all backfills including sewer, water,

electric, utilities, etc. I have conducted testing for curb and gutter,

sidewalks, parking lot sub-grade, street sub-grade and finish grade, and

asphalt concrete grade. I was also responsible for assimilation of

paperwork for all related testing to be turned in for final reporting, I

wrote daily reports for each job, read plans and plotted all tests on

plans. Most of my testing here was done by sand-cone method which I became

very efficient with and learned well.

I am certified for nuclear gauge testing as it relates to soils and asphalt

concrete.

I am also familiar with shallow footing, retaining wall footing, and

drainage and back fill observation.

Finally on many jobs I worked closely with engineers and geologists.

6-99 to 3-02 Mobile Aire, Redlands CA

Warehouse manager

Responsibilities include management of a HVAC warehouse; I tracked

inventory and sales of all parts and equipment on PC. When new parts and

equipment were needed I was in charge of ordering and purchasing new

inventory. I also handled heavy phones and customer service, and loading

and unloading of new shipments. I am proficient with computers and am able

to learn new programs and new software quickly.

Apprentice Electrician

Responsibilities include commercial and residential electrical work,

running and wiring circuits, wiring lights, installing and wiring plugs,

switches, exit signs, various lights including track lighting and down
