BRIEF

An energetic and diligent professional presently working as "Electrical

Engineer" at M/S Eastern Petrochemicals Company. Jubail, Saudi Arabia.

Presently I am looking after quality and reliability requirement of

electrical system.

Seeking position of head of department.

Before to above assignment I have worked as "General Manager" with Reliance

Industries Limited.

I have 30+ years of experience in electrical projects, operation and

maintenance. I have worked on different positions and lead the team of

technicians, engineers and managers for achieving the goals for designing,

installations, hook up, commissioning, reliability improvements, Incident

reporting, SAP system based CAPEX, MOC & RCA implementation, PSM

implementation, etc. works in petrochemical plants.

NATURE OF EXPERIENCE

During working as General Manager (Electrical), I have worked for Olefins

plant, Linear Alkali Benzene Plant, Ethylene Glycol plant, Utilities

comprising water supply, DM water, Boilers, Air compressors, Air

liquification N2O2 plant & Effluent treatment Quality-control Plant, etc.

. Coordinating various maintenance activities related to HT&LT

electrical motors during running plant as well as during shutdown with

dedicated efforts to meet the deadlines of completion of jobs

assigned.

. Coordinating various maintenance activities related to stationery;

equipments like HT panel, transformers, Bus duct, LT ACB, PCC, MCC,

AUX BOARDS, UPS, BATTERY CHARGERS, Protective relay, VFD, Battery

sets, etc. during running plant as well as in shutdown with dedicated

efforts to meet the deadlines of completion of jobs assigned.

. Maintaining optimum spares for maintenance, raising Purchase

requisitions (Indents) for procurement of spares required for

maintenance and services of outside agencies.

. Preparing annual plant maintenance budget and various management

information reports.

. Coordinating with Annual rate contractors and one time contractors for

HT MOCB overhauling, transformer overhauling, LT ACB overhauling, UPS

servicing, battery chargers servicing, battery capacity testing, EOT

crane servicing and load testing, thermography, energy audit, etc.

. Process and follow up purchase requests to ensure prompt delivery.

Scrutinizing and vetting various offers received and following up with

the depts. /sect. at superior as well as lateral levels for critical

spares as and when required.

SPECIAL TASK

I was a member of core team for "Project-Revamp of Naphtha Cracker plant"

at Reliance industries Limited Vadodara which has been commissioned in Feb

2007. In this Project Present Capacity of Ethylene plant is enhanced from

150KTPA to 170KTPA of Ethylene.

I was responsible for coordination with detail engineering contractor and

actual work executing contractor for electrical engineering, procurement of

materials, scrutinizing technical offers, erection of cable trench, laying

of various sizes cables, from HT panels, PCC, MCC, etc. to the HT motors,

LT motors, ID fan VFD panels, lighting distribution boards, instrument

analyzer room, etc.

M/S EIL was DEC for the above stated project.

Major revamp jobs taken up other than routine shutdown jobs of HT&LT motor

overhauling, UPS servicing, UPS battery reconditioning, protective relay

up gradation / replacement, etc. were as follows:

o Installation of ID fan VFD panels, installation of 2nos. ID fan (160KW)

motors, for conversion of Natural draft heaters to Induced draft heaters

by installing a common ID fan for all six heaters.

o Procurement, installation, testing commissioning of 2nos. 590KW HT motors

for quench water pumps.

o Since MOCB HT breaker got obsolete from new manufacturing, the VCC

vacuum contactor were used for starting/running of the above HT motors,

the procurement of the VCC done for one to one replacement.

o The motor protection relays for the above HT motor procured through SAP

system and capex authorization, installed the same and commissioned the

HT motors with all the instruments interlocks in DCS.

o Necessary power and control cables were procurement, testing, laying,

testing terminations

o Installation of lighting fixtures in revamp area for ID fan vessels

operation.

o The BFWP motors installation done, its module got wired from outside

agency and control scheme for auto operation with instrument DCS wired

up.

o The above revamp completed with the running process without having any

tripping.

Parallel to the above revamp PGH revamp was also completed with following

activities.

o Procurement, installation of extension MCC sections (from M/S Siemens)

for offsite, Procurement installation of extensions PCC sections (from

M/S L&T), cable tray installation, hooking up of the cable tray with

existing cable trays, installations of LT motors with cable laying and

"auto cut in " features, etc for PGH transfer pump up gradation.

M/S JACOB was DEC for the above stated project.

SPECIAL INFORMATION

> I was fully associated with commissioning of 33KV indoor receiving

station during the period of 1976 to 1980 at utility plant, the power

cable laying, and terminations and charging of downstream feeders, power

& distribution transformers, MV & LV motors with driven equipments,

etc.

> I was assigned the work of installation of PLC control Baling machine at

"Acrylic fibre plant" which I commissioned and taught the logic circuit

to subordinate for trouble shooting during the period 1989.

PROJECTS:

1) The Electrification and Establishing IT set for marketing office at

Andheri in Mumbai.

Location: Reliance marketing office at JVPD.

Duration: 2001 to 2002.

Role: Manager

Highlight: IT set up for 140nos. I/O, control console, UPS for IT

setup, telephone system setup, and electrification, power &

distribution boards set up, AC systems and conference room set up.

2) PPCP plants main power feeders shifting: The total EPCM related to

electrical work for PPCP plant power feeders revamp had been

successfully carried out.

Client: Reliance VMD - PPCP plants.

Duration: 2002 to 2004

Role: Manager

The highlight of the project includes, changing main power supply

source from one location to other location to make facility for old

location for shutdown, regularizing power distribution, improve plant

stability and reliability.

The project involves, making of new cable route includes making of

cable trenches, cable tray, ERC, cable procurement, laying, testing &

terminations. Updating protections at new source by procuring new CTs,

relays, awarding service contracts for these activities.

3) Benzene plant revamp: The total EPCM related to electrical work for

Benzene plant revamp had been successfully carried out.

Client: Reliance VMD -Olefins plants BBH section.

Duration: 2004 to 2006

Role: Manager

The project involves EPCM of 22nos. LV motors, 2nos. MCC, providing

Lighting, power out lets & hydrojeting facility establishing.

4) Olefins plant revamp: The total EPCM related to electrical work for

Olefins plant revamp had been successfully carried out.

Client: Reliance VMD - Olefins plants.

Duration: 2006 to 2007

Role: Manager

The highlight of the project includes, revamp of quenching facilities,

installation of HRSG on naphtha cracker heaters flue gases ( the

energy saving) by providing VFD operated ID fans.

This project includes installation of 2nos. HT motors including power

supply VCC, 2nos. VFDs and VFD operated ID fans motors, other 18nos.

LT motors, lighting, power outlet & hydrojeting facilities.

5) PGH plant revamp: The total EPCM related to electrical work for PGH

plant revamp had been successfully carried out.

Client: Reliance VMD - Olefins plants PGH unit.

Duration: 2006 to 2007

Role: Manager

The highlight of the project includes, revamp of feed pumps,

introducing auto cut-in in critical pumps, 2nos PCC, 2nos. MCC, 10nos.

LT motors, lighting, power outlet & hydrojeting facilities.

6) Olefins plant revamp: The total EPCM related to electrical work for

Olefins plant revamp had been successfully carried out.

Client: Reliance VMD - Olefins plants.

Duration: 2008 to 2009

Role: General Manager

The highlight of the project includes, installation of 3 ID fan on

heaters flue gases ( the energy saving) by providing VFD operated ID

fans, Shifting of all ID fans VFD panels in one locations, adding

batteries in UPS systems for reliability.

3rd ID fan VFD has been introduce for obtaining reliability of the

production system. .

Jamnagar grass root refinery. The validation was done at Reliance

industries Ltd, Navi Mumbai on electrical design of JERP (World's

largest grass root Refinery). The session was of 6days has cover each
