As General Manager of Broadway at the Beach oversaw the financial and
operational management of a large retail, restaurant, movie theatre,
nightclub, and entertainment complex with a staff of 50+ on 350-acres, the
largest retail and festival entertainment complex in South Carolina that
attracts more than 14 million visitors annually. Maintained a 97% occupancy
rate. As corporate office Purchasing Manager supervised and managed the
procurement of contractual services, equipment, materials, and supplies for
80 buildings and 6 divisions: real estate sales, commercial leasing,
entertainment, golf, interval ownership, and the corporate headquarters as
well as the firm's fleet of vehicles. Developed the operational plans and
budgets for the department. Assisted in the leasing and marketing programs
for all properties. Accomplishments include streamlining procedures and
policies and reducing expenses.

Hired as Assistant General Manager of Waccamaw Pottery and Linen and was
promoted twice.
Promoted to General Manager
As General Manager was in charge of all aspects of operations including
fiscal management and a staff of up to 325 employees operating 24 hours a
day. Established performance goals and budgets for this $25 million
operation. Oversaw merchandise layouts, pricing, inventory, purchasing,
marketing, loss control and sales. Accomplishments include improving
merchandise turnover from 1.9 to 3.6 per year, increasing profits 8%.
(For 4 years also served as District Manager supervising operations for up
to 11 Waccamaw Pottery Outlets in the Southeast until constant travel
became undesirable. Returned to operate the Myrtle Beach location when the
General Manager position became available again.)
