Director of Information Technology
Reported to CIO. Managed and directed internal staff of 40 FTEs, annual
capital and expense budget of $10M, and $5M strategic project initiatives

Technical Services:
Responsible for infrastructure planning and support needs. Directed the
replacement of the legacy IBM iSeries platform with an IBM p520. Developed
a roadmap for migrating Health Alliance's (HA) TPA subsidiary Health Care
Horizons (HCH) onto the RIMS 4.x QicLink platform. Also directed the
migration of HCH's current telephony platform to integrate with Cisco
Unified VOIP platform. Directed all help desk and technical support
activities.
Project Management Office (PMO):
Completely built HA's PMO from the ground up. Hired project managers and
then developed a customized project methodology based on Project Management
Institute (PMI) fundamentals tailored to HA's needs. Provided the vision
for the development of a customized application to facilitate project and
portfolio management, which integrated MS SharePoint, Project Server and
Team foundation Server technologies.
Application Services:
Retooled existing staff and hired new as appropriate to build new
applications, adapt existing applications and integrate with various health
care packages using newer technologies such as .net framework and C#. Team
completed an in-house content management application, which will facilitate
the complete re-branding of HA's internal and external web presence.
