Started at Wal-Mart in the Deli, after 6 months I moved to the bakery as 2nd shift baker. I them moved to the main baker.

I continue to learn the whole program (making donuts to decorating cakes, inventory process). I then assumed the job as

lead associate. I had a full concept of everything in the bakery from ordering to inventory. I then took some classes for

cake decorating and trained several associates and managers how to decorate.

I wanted a change, Dept. Manager came open in the photo lab, so I interviewed for it and learned all the essentials for

operating a photo lab in the two years of running the dept.

Electronics/Wireless/Photo Assistant Manager

Electronics is a high shrink department, I also was over the wireless communications, that consist of confidential

information and contracts being processed correctly, photo lab and camera sales. I had 3 new department managers that I

mentored to be the best dept. managers and around 25 associates. The backroom was also a critical area with this

department and tiring to figure the best way to prevent shrink in these departments.

Hard-lines Assistant Manager (Sporting good dept., Automotive dept., Toy dept., and Hardware dept.

On this rotation I was covering hard-lines. Automotive department was another shrink department that I had to take

certain measures to control, as well as sporting goods department. Toys was an everyday job. I had 4 long term

department managers that where set in their ways, this made it difficult by having to show them they had to change with

the program. I also have a support manager and a bay manager, and about 30 associates that I was over

This rotation was a big step; I am over the cashiers, customer service managers, customer service desk, tobacco shop, self-

checkouts, accounting office, rented offices (subway, vision center), people greeters, personnel office, invoice office,

claims department, inventory control, un-loaders, receiving departments. (General and grocery). 3 rd. shift inventory

control and accounting. Shrink Matrix, and Shrink controls. I am not sure exactly how many associates I am over but I

would guess at around 200.

Managed and owned small business that required creating recipes with percentages of protein for different animals, also

had certain medications that couldn't be mixed with other feeds. My father farmed row cropped around a 1000 acres, and

my other job was to bring the grain from the field, run into a dryer, pull out of dryer into a truck, then put it in a well

cleaned grain bin by auger. Controlled the grain as long as it was stored, sometimes had to treat for insect. Most of the

grain was used in the feed mill.
