A self motivated, highly adaptable, hands-on leader and individual
contributor with strong technical, organizational, and interpersonal
skills. Determined commitment to Customer Service / Synergistic
Cooperation. Proven ability to resolve issues through establishment of
clear expectations, analysis, and creative problem solving. Ability to
deliver on-target and on-schedule with consideration of both long and short
term goals.
Cross Functional Teaming Technical Leadership / Teaching
Design Improvement / Optimization Requirement Determination
Mechanical Design / Analysis Presentations
Paper-to-Product Support Documentation / Report Generation
Achievements
Technical Leadership / Teaching
Utilized experience / knowledgeability of CAD Draftspersons to perform
initial part design / concepting
Results: Encouraged drafters to resolve more issues with less engineering
input, increased drawing production while freeing engineers to perform more
detailed / demanding tasks, improved career paths of draftspersons
Cross Functional Teaming
Worked with / coordinated between Radio Frequency (RF) Engineers, Hi-
Reliability Assembly Technicians, Machinists, Software Engineers, and
Networking Experts to prepare for a customer product demonstration.
Results: All disciplines integrated into a functional team which produced
an extremely successful demonstration
Paper-To-Product Support
Performed point-design and production in near real-time to facilitate last
minute changing of customer requirements without schedule impact.
Results: Customer received product demonstration on-schedule showing
flawless mechanical performance
Development / Qualification Testing
Designed / performed tests to verify bonding methods and material selection
in high-reliability space applications.
Results: Determined new material combinations which were acceptable for
the design specifications, allowing design simplification and cost
reduction.
Requirement Determination
Held technical discussion session at the outset of the design task to
determine design requirements. Throughout the course of the task,
maintained frequent dialogue on requirement status. Involved both the
customer and local experts in discussions.
Results: Consistently met or exceeded customer expectations,
Mechanical Design / Analysis
Created bounding program in Excel which showed "safety envelope" for
payloads on a motion simulator operating in an enclosed and obstructed
environment.
Results: Multiple payloads were exercised on the motion simulator without
mishap the spreadsheet continues to be used to predict payload safety for
that piece of hardware.
Presentation
Held technical exchange meetings with resident experts and project
management during concepting / design process
Results: Reduced delay between design and approval. Kept management
apprised of design details / challenges. Improved communication between
management and design teams.
Documentation / Reports
Assumed task of creating detailed design documentation in an area which
previously was reworked for each job. Results: Enabled design reuse between
five separate but related projects at large cost savings to each.
