Project Description :
The DMS-SDS (Software Delivery Services) Incident Management team offers
support to SCCM Infrastructure implementations in Microsoft’s Enterprise
Network. The SCCM Infrastructure consists of around 180 SCCM servers and 3,
50, 000 Desktop computers worldwide.
Installing and configuring SMS2003/SCCM2007/CM v.Next on the servers,
Managing and Monitoring the server health, Production servers patching,
Migration, Up gradation, P2V.
• Created tools for monitoring the server status which includes space and
configuration management, server health, monitoring the package status,
SQL replication monitoring and daily backups of the SMS/SCCM and
SQL database.
• Performing patch installation on servers and maintenance task WSUS
Clean up.
• WSUS Servers installation, configuration and monitoring using smoke test.
• Handling the technical escalations from the engineers and from other team
members or lower level tier (tier 1).
• Periodic reports handling and analyzing.
• Physical to virtual server migrations P2V.
Responsibilities
Team’s aim is to provide round-the-clock services to ensure Microsoft Network
security and availability of servers all the time by:
• Managing the SCCM Infrastructure efficiently, providing support to
Microsoft Customers during migration at the customer location which
includes managing site boundaries configuration for all Microsoft

customers.
• Managing Domain correlated issues, Responsible for multiple critical tasks
in terms of estimation, timely & quality deliverable with process follow up
and change request implementation and feature enhancement.
• Group Policy management.
• Test package deployments, Asset reporting, Advertise packages, Package
delivery trouble shooting and Deployment reporting.
• Responsible for the entire package life cycle over the SMS including
testing, validation and expire so on.
• Proactively monitoring and troubleshooting all SCCM servers and SCCM
clients.
• Troubleshooting issues and maintaining services remotely when scheduled
updates fail through via SMS. (So called SCCM 2007 now).
• Handling daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and half yearly tasks
proactively like checking the Drive space availability on all site roles (SS,
DPs, MP, and WSUS etc.), Windows update sync status from Microsoft
update site, Verify there is no inbox backlogs. Package reach on all DPs /
Packages pending since last 24 hours needs to be captured and make sure
all packages are reached to DP's.
• Based on the requirement performing SCCM upgrades to latest build, site
migrations and hardware swap.
