United States Army, 2001 - 2006
SERGEANT - Completed 5-year career with the U.S. Army. Gained
lower-level manager status. Participated in Operation
Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom as a
Scout/Sniper Section Leader; helped transform the Army into a
21st Century fighting force.
A successful record for managing complex situations,
supervising people during highly stressful and
life-threatening situations, responsible for hundreds of
thousands of dollars in assets. Specific duties and
achievements include:
Management: Led a 12 man section of dismounted Scouts with weapons,
equipment and supplies. Managed daily personnel requirements
to include logistical, training and safety necessities.
Upgraded training curriculum and methods, cross-trained
personnel in job duties resulting in lower supervision
requirements and a significant cost savings in overtime.
Scheduled work duties, hours and assignments.
Operations & Was the primary dismounted advisor to the Commander for 250
Logistics: men; responsible for $300 thousand of equipment and supplies.
Managed a $50,000 budget. Responsible for controlling the
procurement of durable and expendable items under the budget.
A recognized expert in planning and executing complex
operations with 100% accuracy and success, including the
scheduling and movement of personnel and the timely transfer
of thousands of dollars worth of equipment to support and
maintain operations.
Leadership: Led and supervised personnel through over 300 combat
missions, provided guidance and set the example for others to
emulate. Recognized for outstanding leadership abilities by
receiving "Top of Class" designation in U.S. Army Leadership
Development Course (PLDC) and 2nd in class designation for
Intermediate Leadership Course (BNCOC). Improved section
morale and performance by providing achievable goals and

Training & Spent a large portion of career as primary trainer and
Development: personnel development advisor for Platoon and Company
Commanders. Redesigned comprehensive combat training program,
