NDT Technician

NDT X-ray inspection of shuttle motors and nozzle components.

X-ray operations, crane moves of shuttle components, setting up parts to be x-rayed.

Radiography film processing, reading and interpreting x-ray images to determine acceptability.

• Measuring and recording defects on the nozzle components and shuttle motors using veneer

calipers, comparators, and digital imaging.

Group Leader

• Managed a crew of employees in a paint and assembly department and also line and

finalization operations.

• Assigned work schedules, assuring work was performed per planning and in a safe manner.

• Received and assembled bare metal case segments and prepped them for chemlock and

paint operations.

• Chemlock and painting prior to sending them to rubber layup area for insulation.

• Worked with engineering and quality departments to accomplish job efficiency.

• Debagged and removed mold rings from the segments after autoclave cure.

• Trimmed and performed insulation repairs using adhesives to meet blue print requirements.
