RE: Administrative Positions
To Whom It May Concern:
It would be a pleasure to meet with you so that I might demonstrate
how my abilities fit your needs precisely.
As you will see on the enclosed resume, I am proficient in a variety
of Microsoft Office programs. I am experienced in handling general
office duties and answering phones cordially and courteously, due to
the experience in the dual role as the Quality Control
Administrative Assistant and the Receptionist at my prior job.
What my resume does not reveal is that I am a self motivated and
driven person. I take pride in the many ways I have found to not
only do accurate reporting, but also eliminating duplicated efforts.
In me, you will discover a reliable, detail orientated and extremely
hard working associate, one who enjoys supporting all that need help
and finds difficult tasks as a challenge.
Another side of me that is not revealed in my resume is that I
worked the factory floor of my previous job for 7 years until I was
asked to help in the office to help prepare for their initial QS9000
certification. That was the first step of my progression to the
Quality Control Administrative Assistant and Receptionist position
where I supported the entire upper management staff as needed.
From there, I went into the position of Human Resources Assistant
and Payroll Coordinator at the company I had been with for the past
5 years. There I did all of the payroll coordination at the plant
level and managed the FMLA/STD/LTD database. I was HIPAA Certified
in 2007 because of the sensitive information that I dealt with on a
daily basis. I managed all of the attendance through Attendance
Counts and updated the plant web pages. I did the employee
newsletter as well as created a Calendar and a pamphlet we
distributed to temporary employees, all of which show my creative
side.
I hope that I am able to show you that I can adapt to the
environment I am in, I am able to make the transition to the job at
hand, as any good administrative support should. When I am in a job
my number one goal is to find the best, most accurate and quickest
way to do the reporting needed from my position, which usually
results in freeing up time to take on more duties. My latest salary
was $32,000.00, but I am flexible and would like to talk about pay.
If you will contact me at cell: 616-***-****, we can schedule an
appointment.
Sincerely,
Melissa Rookus
