Missionary
The Word at Work partner's short-term mission teams from the states with
Belizean churches. As a staff member leading relational teams duties
included: advance administrative preparation for team, picking up team at
airport, working with team on the field and directing the team when at
rest. Responsibilities: leading team devotions/ Bible studies, keeping a
schedule, planning for teams needs, driving, set-up and breakdown,
accounting, planning for teams ministries, etc. Relational team ministries
involved with: leading sports, VBS, carnivals, youth group activities,
working in children's homes/ orphanages, horse back riding, arts-n-crafts,
etc. Position responsibilities: equipping teams to serve, delegating tasks,
oversight of volunteers. Other TWAW responsibilities: Bible studies and

St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Youth Director
Launched St. Andrew's youth group in the summer of 2005. It quickly grew to
over thirty youths in weeks. Provided effective leadership to lay
ministers; including managing, equipping, delegating and training.
Responsible for: planning, teaching, coordinating, and implementing
program, curriculum, environments and policies. Handled details for youth
retreats, mission opportunities, and special events for youth ministries.
Other responsibilities included teaching the youth group Sunday school
class and two weekly gospel clubs for elementary aged kids.
Nanny
A professional nanny for over twelve years, dealing with parents and
children in a home setting. Intimate with every detail of home, school, and
church life from the families' viewpoint. Worked with children of all ages,
including specialized care for children with special needs. Responsible for
all aspects of child care including: supervising homework, managing
children schedules, implementing fun daily activities, being a loving role
model and friend, extended care while parents traveled, traveling with
families, etc. At various jobs was also responsible for the management of
the household and or staff.
Preschool Teacher
Worked as a lead teacher in a Hasidic Preschool for ages five and six.
Created and taught own curriculum. Curriculum structured to adapt to each
child individually. Strove for an atmosphere of acceptance and tolerance
among the children so all would feel successful. Specially designed and
geared class for social interaction, small and gross motor skills, and
educational lessons.
Volunteer at Hunter Street Baptist Church
Mentored by Children's pastor as to the planning, administrating, and
organizing of a large children's ministry. Purpose driven model. Also
created and taught for the children's church and wrote and produced puppet
shows. Hunter Street Baptist Church, in Birmingham, Alabama, boasts one of
the largest children and youth groups in the country.
Leader for Young Adult Fellowship (YAF)
Worked with a leadership team for a Bible Study called YAF. The group
started with twelve and grew at times to a group of over a hundred. In
charge of Missions & Outreach, which planned: women retreats, mission
trips, lectures, and seminars. Also organized volunteers, outings, and
leader meetings.
Sunday school Teacher
Responsible for creating and teaching curriculum, implementing hands on
learning experiences based on the Bible. Used skits, songs, drama, and
games to emphasize main theme. In all planning the children were utmost in
mind to create a safe and nurturing environment where they could express
their ideas, thoughts, and ask questions.
