After one year as a Coordinator I was promoted as a Sr. Coordinator, after
two years of service I was promoted to a Buyer position. Using E3 Green
Screen in the JD Edwards system I was responsible to maintain the inventory
on 2500 items. The Category I bought for was Juices, Detergents, and
household cleaners. My goals were to maintain between 95 and 97 percent
service level. With inventory turns higher than 19 percent. The
distribution center serviced 3 grocery chain equaling 250 stores. I was
responsible to enter into E3, the chains weekly sale ads using history from
a previous ad with the same promotion. The goal was to service the chains
at 100 percent on all ad items.
Work daily tracking report to ensure all PO's are scheduled on time to
maintain excellent service level. Enter all off invoices, Q deals, and
price changes for assigned items and vendors. Enter all new items on
assigned vendors, and process deduction documents for slotting monies.
Process and track all vendor returns for assigned items vendors. Work
closely with assigned vendors and customer service contact persons to
resolve all issues, and achieve good service from our brokers and vendors.
Work with Accounting and or vendors to resolve any pricing issues. Work as
a back up when other Coordinators are out of the office. Process Savemart's
Ad's, spec orders, new items, and Food for Family orders.
Savemart contact - Work as the liaison between Savemart and SSI on all
merchandising issues by working with various departments within SSI to
research and resolve all issues within 24 hours.
