The Trane Company 1999-2010

Senior applications engineer.

Responsibilities included supporting the Trane sales engineers to

effectively compete during project and specification development to secure

projects. I frequently interacted with building owners, consulting

engineers, architects, and contractors.

My other responsibilities included serving as the team leader over a

"design specials" team of five manufacturing engineers.

Miller-Picking/YORK International 1988-1999

Senior project engineer.

Responsibilities included: the design of Custom HVAC equipment, equipment

submittals, Bill of Materials (BOM) development, release of BOM to

purchasing, supervision of equipment manufacturing.

During the submittal process I was the supervisor for the team of draftsmen

assigned to the project.

My responsibilities included having direct contact with sales engineers,

building owners, consulting engineers, architects, building owners, and

contractors

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) 1985-1988

Staff Engineer.

Responsibilities included maintaining ARI procedures, processes, technical

literature, and computer software for ARI certification.

I had responsibility for selection of various HVAC products and submitting

the equipment to ETL for testing. I reviewed the test results and

presented them to the manufacturers and to the governing bodies of ARI.

I also had responsibility for resolving the test results with the

manufacturers.

US ARMY 1975-1979

I was the team leader for an infantry rifle squad consisting of ten men.
