fully versed in the full life cycle of software development and for the
last several years I have served in a leadership capacity and was a primary
decision maker for the applications that I supported. Over the years I
have encountered most of the languages, tools and hardware configuration in
use today for information technology with most of my experience on
mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, and DB2 database.

insuring that all health code and liquor regulations were followed. Duties
were heavily sales oriented.
Consultant, TAC Worldwide 2006 - 2008
Worked with Verizon Business in a Production Support role on the circuit
provisioning application - Netpro.
. Made modifications to a DB2 database when program or user error
resulted in data problems.
. Researched COBOL source code to find the cause of undocumented errors
and determined a course of action to resolve the issue.
. Researched and suggested possible codes changes to the development
teams.
. Wrote ad-hoc programs for problem research and one-time data fixes.
Consultant, Cook Systems 2006
Worked with Federal Express to document a mainframe SAS application that
extracts and manipulates DB2 data to produce a Service Reference Guide used
by all FedEx outlets.
. Modified SAS programs that were not running properly.
. Produced Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio documentation and
participated in discussions that determined the migration path away
from SAS and towards another skill set.
Systems Engineer 3, Mincom 2003-2005
Mincom wrote and maintained ERP software for the mining, defense and
utilities industries.
. Application was written using Cobol and Oracle back end on a Unix
platform with a CICS, XML and Delphi front end.
. Worked with clients to troubleshoot and repair Cobol programs that
were not functioning as the client wanted.
Senior Systems Analysts, MCI/Worldcom 1993- 2002
Worked for several years on the Customer Service Management (CSM)
application that tracked customer problems and routed the problems to the
appropriate workgroup for resolution. I was involved in all phase of the
software development life-cycle/
. CSM was an IBM mainframe application using COBOL, CICS, and DB2.
. Was a lead developer for a CICS backend message interface to CSM that
allowed other applications to interface with CSM.
. Was the project lead for the CSMi application, which was a C++ GUI
front end for CSM. CSMi used a two-tier architecture with MQ based
messaging to pass data from the GUI to the mainframe for processing.
. Eventually the CSM application was rolled into the upgraded ETMS
application. My duties for this project included data modeling,
database population and data access modules for the various reference
data needed for ETMS.
. Duties while at MCI/Worldcom included project management, system
architecture, Data modeling, proposal writing, requirements gathering,
analysis and design, coding, quality assurance testing and user
support

online accounting application to track the location of radioactive material
while it was at the Rocky Flats Plant.
. Worked for several years as a system programmer on the Harris
. Latter SAN was converted to an IBM mainframe using COBOL, CICS, and
DB2. SAS was used for reporting.
. Responsibilities included enhancement analysis and design, program
coding, quality assurance testing, user support and hardware support.
Programmer, City of St. Paul 1980- 1982
Developed and maintained numerous online applications that provided instant
record retrieval to assist police officers. Produced statistical reports
showing the crime Hot Spots for the city. Maintained the Traffic and
Accident reporting system.
