heterogeneous environments. Interfaces were created to allow the
disparate systems to share and exchange information.
. Managed a project for remote data entry. The project was designed to
decrease the amount of time required from patient visit to data
availability for analysis. Provided technical support for the project.
Established the data communications from the clinical site to the
corporate location and installed the system at the clinical site.
Centocor, Inc. 1987 - 1992

. Developed document management architecture for the regulatory area at
Centocor. Worked with Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) to develop a
system that could be used to implement the architecture. This system was
then marketed by DEC as one of their document management products.
. Led a project to select and implement an imaging system for Centocor.
The selection process included the development of a request for proposal,
vendor presentations, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.
Provided project management for the implementation phase of the project.
The system was implemented in the Regulatory Archives group of the
company. The imaging system was integrated with the existing database
systems used for tracking the documents being stored in the archives.
