Managed medium to large scale manufacturing automation projects, ensuring delivery of high quality

results within budget and on schedule. Engineered and designed electrical systems for front-end design

packages. Developed specifications, CAD drawings, and monitored detail design efforts by A/E firms

to assure compliance to Merck requirements. Conducted technical investigations, studies and prepared

reports for project teams, clients, and end-users.

• Managed the development of a reporting system to meet EPA requirements for emissions

control devices for the Cherokee, Flint River, Stonewall, and Rahway sites.

MERCK-MEDCO MANAGED CARE, Parsippany, NJ (1994 - 2001)

Key participant in the installation, startup, and operation of a grass roots, high-tech pharmaceutical

packaging facility. Managed all aspects of the electrical distribution and automation system

(approximately $30MM) for this $100 MM automated pharmaceutical packaging facility in Nevada.

• Supervised staff of up to eleven (11) electrical / controls / software engineers.

• Acted as internal consultant, providing timely communications and technical guidance to

management, operations, project teams, vendors and others in the organization.

• Developed automation strategy; selected system integrators & electrical contractors for projects.
