Objective

To seek a position in a bible believing church that will utilize my

teaching skills, knowledge and experience with regard to leading

congregations in praise and worship. Organize and lead the development of

the music department and musical outreach ministries. To utilize my

Spiritual Background

I accepted Jesus as my Savior in 1970 at First Baptist Church Lakewood,

Ca. and have been an active participant in church since then.

Ministry/Musical Highlights

CSULB University Choir - Performed and studied under Professor Frank

Pooler. Composed, arranged and performed contemporary music with University

Choir and Men's Chorus while maintaining a 3.75 GPA. Recorded in several

Hollywood studios.

Calvary Chapel Bakersfield - Ordained as a Calvary Chapel Pastor. Bible

teacher/leader singles ministry, small group, ministry school and

congregational. Organized and oversaw Calvary Chapel's successful

contemporary concert outreach ministry featuring the foremost contemporary

Christian artists. Baptized hundreds of new converts. Studied sound and

recording techniques under prominent Marantha! Music sound engineers at

Martin Sound Studios. Produced the record album "Let All Who Hath Breath

Praise the Lord" which was released by Maranatha! Music. During my term saw

the congregation grow from 35 members to over a thousand.

Bakersfield Christian Life Center - Successfully introduced the main body

of this traditionalist congregation to contemporary praise singing while

working with Dr. John Lavender and Dr. Phil Dodson during a time of

explosive growth. Led praise singing and taught the bible in small group,

Sunday school and singles ministries. Organized praise team musical

outreach programs.

Selah - Led this vocal group, Bakersfield Christian Life Center praise

team, and musical outreach group. Recorded the CD "Stop and Think About It"

at Fat Tracks Studio and mastered at Capitol Records.

Valley Baptist Church - Served under Pastor Gary Mathena providing monthly

offertory music on piano, teaching guitar, working lighting in productions

and assisting in sound on Wednesday nights. Co-led a Sunday school ministry

while teaching and leading praise singing. Led worship for the high school

and singles ministry.

Calvary Bible Church - Led worship in Sunday morning and Wednesday night

services and special events. Co-led Sunday school class. Served as a

volunteer in the Junior High Ministry.

Wigtune Company - Built home-based digital/midi recording studio for the

purpose of world-wide distribution of contemporary and traditional praise

music and worship study.

Laurel Glenn Bible Church - Served as a member of Sunday morning praise

team and choir.

CSULB Forty-Niner Choir - My choral arrangement of "Joy to the World"

performed during the CSULB choral 2008 winter concert.

for Sunday morning services, rehearse with praise band and choir, organize

prayer, and teach worship theology.

Bakersfield Superior Court, Bakersfield, CA

Operate centrally located computerized digital recorders and peripheral

equipment; monitors control console to ensure proper sound levels for

recording. Examine and inspects for defects and proper operation of

equipment such as microphones, amplifiers, speakers, and cables; perform

routine maintenance and minor repairs to equipment as required. Operate and

maintains courtroom sound systems; maintains proper sound levels and

microphone placement.

Led praise team for Sunday morning services, special events, and out-reach

ministries. Composed, arranged for and directed orchestra. Supervised sound

department.

Directed Praise Team for special events and out-reach ministries. Co-led a

Sunday school and home bible study group. Led worship for the singles group

a sound consultant at the time the new sanctuary was being designed.

Led praise singing and praise team for Sunday and Wednesday night worship

services and musical outreach ministries. Organize and conduct choir and

instrumental music group, write music and arrangements, encourage song

writing, gather original material from congregational members for use, and

professionally record music for national distribution. Mentor and train

praise leaders. Organize and supervise musical outreach ministry,

evangelical concert ministry and sound system. Oversee the operation of the

sound department. Organize and teach worship class as part of the church's

Ecclesia ministry. Conduct premarital and other counseling sessions. Fill
