Working at Coal City Dental Center has given me a great experience as a dental
assistant, and a receptionist. I assisted the doctor with procedures including root canals,
build-up, and crowns, amalgams, composite fillings, and extractions. I have experience
with digital x-rays, and also with panoramic x-rays. I have worked with nitrous oxide. I
gained the knowledge of filling out patient charts. Being a receptionist, the program I’m
familiar with is SoftDent to schedule appointments, answering phones, billing insurances,
and collection of money, pulling, and filing charts.
Carson Pirie Scott, Joliet, IL.
August 2008 to November 2008
My job at Carson Pirie Scott was working for Loss Prevention. My duties were to
make stops, and apprehensions within the company or customers. I also kept up on safety
precautions for customers, and employees such as checking fire extinguishers, and water
sprinklers. My job included these responsibilities like setting up cameras for cases,
inputting paperwork, and working with the Joliet Police Department with retail theft.
Walgreen’s, Channahon, IL
September 2007 to September 2008
My job at Walgreen’s was a photo technician, and a cashier. I gained knowledge of
developing photos, daily, and weekly maintenance of the Fuji machine. I also handled
money, and did daily transactions with the register.
Home Depot, Shorewood, IL.
April 2007 to October 2007
I was a cashier at Home Depot, with handling money. I would measure trim, and
other various items that needed to be measured. I worked the self-checkout, and also have
experience in returns, and exchanges. Customers that would buy products that was either
unsatisfactory to them, or have changed their mind on a product.
