Participated and organized over 2000 Ohio Correctional Officers to union membership winning their first

collective bargaining agreement with the State of Ohio.

Due to budget constraints developed Medical Innovation Committee to identify and establish cost saving

measures within the agency. Committee saved the agency over 1.1 million dollars by establishing new

procedures and identifying waste. This committee saved numerous health care positions that were

scheduled for layoffs

Scheduled and led negotiations with the State of Ohio over closure of hospital employing numerous union

health care employees. After union requested negotiations the agency agreed to remove hospital from

scheduled closure list. Over six years later it remains open and cost effective today.
