• Unload truck that contains approximately two hundred boxes daily along
with crew which contains twelve workers, as the only male employee in
the stock room, I am responsible for the heavier items, tables, mirrors,
pictures, couches, luggage, chairs, and shoes. My first priority is to
unload the truck as we are timed to have it completed at a certain time
depending on the truck load, and amount of workers. Also help them with
the heavier lifting, so they don’t injure themselves. Using team lifts and
proper lifting techniques.
• Put all my heavier items on the store floor in their appropriate places, and
help my team finish with their work as best as possible.
• When we are finished putting accessories out on the floor. We separate
in our groups. One hard tags clothing and puts them out on the
appropriate racks on the floor. One does men’s while the other does
woman’s. My groups is responsible for removing all the shoes from their
boxing; pricing, sizing, and hard tagging them. Then we put them in their
appropriate spots on the store floor while being customer friendly at the
same time. We are expected to get done with all of this at a certain time.
This also depends on the amount of people working and the number of
boxes. Our load of shoes is different each day ranging from ten to forty,
and sometimes sixty or higher.
