Project Description

Sony Electronics, Inc. is principally engaged in the design, development

and worldwide marketing of Electronics, Computers including Laptops (VAIO)

and Desktops, and various Computer Accessory products. The Company is a

manufacturer and seller of the electronic products worldwide. Sony sells

its products to retail accounts in the United States and through a mix of

owned retail stores, distributors, licensees and subsidiaries worldwide.

CDW - ODS project is to redesign the Sony Electronics Inc, Data Warehouse

Reporting application after the recent ERP implementation using SAP R/3,

replace the existing Legacy reporting application with Oracle using

Informatica as the ETL tool. During the project involved in designing

various Fact tables and Dimension tables need for the Data warehouse and

prepared a historical data load (one-time) using legacy data, which is

residing in Mainframes using the Strievea Detail (Power exchange) tool.

Replaced the current data feeds with Informatica ETL using Power Exchange

tool as per the Architectural direction. Involved in the Metadata extract

for the Informatica Migrate project from Informatica 7.1 version to

Informatica 8.6.1 version for some of the ETL objects present in the older

version.

Responsibilities/Contribution:

> Involved in the full life cycle development of the project including:

Design, development, and testing.

> Responsible for converting the existing legacy data load process with

Informatica ETL process.

> Responsible for defining the source structure for heterogeneous files
