liaison between animal care manager and animal care technicians. Train

Assisted countless children and adults with disabilities to lead a less
limited life by helping to build three wheelchair accessible treehouses for
a non-profit organization. Treehouses were multi-structural and ranged from
1,500 square feet to 5,000 square feet. This job demanded exceptional
flexibility, extremely strong work ethic and an upbeat attitude as re-
location to 3
different states was mandatory and due to deadlines, 7 day work weeks with
13 hour shifts was common. Was the first intern/nonprofessional carpenter
to be promoted to a full time paid
employee. Involved in all aspects of building and construction utilized a
wide array of both
power and hand tools such as skill saws, chainsaws, chop saws, drills,
impact drivers, sledge hammers, wrenches etc. Utilized problem solving and
troubleshooting skills on a daily basis

Interned at Avon Park Air Force Base/Bombing range in Florida as a
wildlife biology assistant . Completed various plant/wildlife surveys of
both indigenous and invasive species. Collected
blood samples and other health information from deceased wild game such as
boar, deer and quail to determine how local species are thriving. Became
wildfire certified and joined the prescribed burning crew. Utilized
$10,000 GPS system, chainsaws and a knowledge of trees to
be utilized in a statewide dendrochronology project. Cleared are re-marked
hiking trails destroyed by recent hurricanes.
