Cost Controls

Developed a fiscally responsible wage program designed to control costs

in line with the reimbursement system not to cost more than the amount

within the Medicaid rate for salaries.

Designed an innovative insurance buyers program which reduced the cost of

property and casualty insurance by $120K in the first year.

Spearheaded a complete review of the employee benefits program. This

review and bid process saved the employer $30K the first year in the area

of Life insurance and disability insurance.

. Formulated a plan to self-insure the company's health benefit plan. In

the first year of the plan the employer saved $6M and then saved tens of

thousands per year on a ongoing basis. Reduced Health Insurance cost by

$6M by implementing a self-insured plan with aggregate and specific stop

loss.

Built and lead a team to research payroll costs resulting in a switch of

payroll companies which saved the company $100K per year.

Formulated a plan that reduced workers compensation cost and turned it

into a positive employee relations program. Workers comp cost were

reduced by 10%.

Insurance Hearings, and with legal assistance National Labor Relations

Board.
