EXPERIENCE:
2007 - 2009: Walton Construction - Senior Project Manager
- Worked in all aspects of pre-bid, bid, post award, design and startup phases of all of the
government work and much of the private work procured by Walton’s New Orleans
Division.
- Performed constructability reviews of Owner furnished designs.
- Reviewed design proposals on design/build projects for cost, constructability and RFP
conformance.
- Prepared bid schedules for both conventional and design-build projects.
- Performed schedule risk analyses to determine if schedule “betterments” could be
proposed.
- Worked with the Project Managers and Superintendents during the planning and start-
up phase to provide a smooth transition between procurement and construction.
- Developed the initial project schedule on government contracts.
- Reviewed subcontracts written by the Project Managers prior to execution.
- Supported and mentored the Project Managers in unusual or complex scheduling,
technical, claim or contract issues.
- Developed and held schedule training seminars for the New Orleans Division.
1994 – 2007: B. L. Harbert International Construction – Project Manager
- Worked both as an on-site Project Manager and oversaw on-site PMs from the home
office.
- Managed all daily jobsite operations including budgeting, scheduling, planning, change
orders, pay applications and submittals.
- Managed a staff of 4 to 10 salaried employees, depending on project size and
complexity.
- Oversaw the implementation of the Safety and Quality Control programs.

- Responsible for controlling job costs and tracking/reporting cash flow and profit.
- Worked closely with the estimating department to ensure the timely completion of
project buy-out. Wrote and/or reviewed all subcontracts and purchase orders.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate payment of subcontractors and vendors.
- Worked as part of a CM team with an emphasis on improving the prospects for success
for MBE/DBE contractors.
- Served as both Project Manager and Quality Control Manager for a 3 year period in Ft.
Campbell, KY.
- While in the home office, worked closely with the estimating and marketing
departments in the preparation of bid schedules and proposal documents for government
projects.
1991 – 1994: Harbert International – Asst. Project Manager
- Responsible for the entire administrative side of the project including submittals,
change orders, pay applications and scheduling.
- Supervised a staff of three office engineers.
- Priced, negotiated and documented all change orders.
- Managed the project documentation including plans, specifications, RFIs, as-builts and
correspondence.
1983 – 1991: Blount International – Office/Project Engineer
- Worked both as a Quality Control and Office Engineer in progressively more
responsible positions.
- Reviewed, approved and tracked submittals.
- Scheduled and expedited deliveries.
- Held pre-construction conferences with subcontractors prior to the start of their work.
- Inspected work in progress to ensure contract compliance.
- Documented deficiencies and oversaw/documented corrective actions.
