Corporate Compliance Auditor

Responsible for all internal audit functions.

. Designed an audit program for IV administration and coding. Discovered

that nursing was not documenting IV start and stop times. Added $500K

to $600K to the bottom line.

. Implemented audit techniques for monitoring employees access to

medical records. Weakness was discovered before becoming a significant

problem.

. Developed an audit program for auditing the Wound Center. Coding

errors were discovered. Once corrected, cash was increased by $110K.

. Developed audit program for Pharmacy when converting to a new computer

system. Discovered many issues which would have resulted in much lost

revenue.

. Coordinated the audit of employee health claims, saving the hospital

approximately $20,000 per year

2006 Director of Mabry Cancer Center Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg

Served as manager for all operations of this free standing Cancer Center

. Re-designed the pharmacy charge system and increased cash by $145,000.

This required understanding the pharmacy J codes and how they should

be charged to comply with Medicare regulations.

. Developed an operating and accounting system for University's

Emergency Physicians Staffing Department. With more timely and

accurate information, management was able to control revenues and

reduce expenses.

. Developed an Incurred But Not Reported system. This resulted in more

accurate reporting of insurance expense.

. Established accounts receivable polices and procedures that increased

cash collections by $1,100.000.

. Re-negotiated contract for the radiology billing services. After

negotiation, the billing service provided a superior level service at

a lower cost to the Radiologist.
