Qualifications

I have several years of excellent customer service abilities,

strong organizational skills, successful sales abilities, and

computer skills. I am accustomed to meeting deadlines and excel

at training new staff members. I am very familiar with general

office duties and responsibilities. I have gained a tremendous

amount of human resources and management experience in a

relatively short period of time. I am also very proficient with

MICROS/and other POS Systems. I have used Kronos and People Soft

as well.

Work experience

2008-Present Staffing Consultant, Adecco USA

I am responsible for all day-to-day Human Resources activities.

A typical day includes: recruiting (making sure we maintain a

pipeline of talent), sales, management, conducting interviews,

processing payroll, facilitating issue resolution between

employees and management, testing applicants, maintaining

various personnel records, conducting new hire orientation

(providing the associate with company policies, procedures and

company philosophy). I also assist with the administration of

benefits. Another crucial job requirement is to gather and

process background checks, as well as, instructing applicants

to report for drug testing. Once all of the pre-employment

information is available, I access our vendor's website and

personally review the results. Because of the sensitive nature

of the information I work with, it is imperative that I follow

all confidentiality and security guidelines.

2006-2007 Bartender/Server, Marriott Hotels International

I was responsible for all aspects of preparing various drinks,

taking food orders, processing customers checks, completing

inventory, properly cleaning the entire bar area, and various

other related duties. At the Marriott, I had the opportunity to

work in both a formal atmosphere in the lobby bar, as well as

in a casual atmosphere in Champions Sports Bar. I also trained

and mentored new employees.

2006-2006 Professional Driver, Colorado Mountain Express

I was responsible for the safe transportation of passengers

through the mountains of Western Colorado. I was expected to

complete all required paperwork on a daily basis. I had to

drive in extreme weather conditions, such as snow and ice.

Excellent customer service was paramount in this position. This

was a seasonal position (winter).

2001-2006 Bar Manager, Rolling Road Golf Club

I was responsible for the preparation of various beverages for

guests. Another aspect of my job was to take inventory and

reorder various supplies for the bar. I also ran tabs and

handled large amounts of cash and credit card transactions.

Customer service played a large role in this position.

2001-2001 Sales & Service Representative, Farmers & Mechanics Bank (Now

a division of PNC Bank)

I was responsible for various duties at the bank, such as

bringing in new revenue, opening new accounts, making referrals

to other lines of business, performing teller duties, and

providing outstanding customer service.

2000-2000 Sales Representative, Farmers Insurance Group

I was responsible for selling various personal insurance

products, such as auto, homeowners, marine, excess liability

policies and when appropriate, making referrals to other lines

of business. In this position I also acted as a front-line

underwriter. I had to be able to think and act quickly in a

high demanding atmosphere. Providing excellent customer service

was essential in the position. I held my State of Maryland P&C

license.

1996-2000 Sales Representative, Bill Pigg's Pressure Washing

I was responsible for servicing the current customer base as

well as gaining new business. This was accomplished through

various tactics, from cold calling to asking for referrals, and

literally knocking on prospective client's doors. I was also

responsible for advertising and running special/seasonal

discount programs

1993-1996 Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable Representative, Quest

Diagnostics, Inc.

I was a senior billing/accounts receivable / accounts payable

technician responsible for contacting customers to obtain

additional information regarding their accounts and to make

payment arrangements, as needed. Paying invoices was another

aspect of my position and verifying their accuracy. I was also

responsible for submitting medical claims to various insurance

carriers. In this position, I was on the telephone/computer for

extended periods of time.
