EXPERIENCE
2010–Present - Civil “Structural” Designer: -(July 2010 to Present)
Prepare structural calculation and required plans for Light Commercial and Single Family residential projects.
Prepare architectural plans for new construction and additions of single family homes and provide the required structural design for them.
Perform Engineer-On-Record site inspections when required by governing jurisdiction. Inspections performed include: Epoxy embedment and Framing members.
2008–2010 Hensel Phelps Construction Co.: -Quality Control Engineer- (March 2008 to January 2010)
Reviewed work and materials to ensure conformance to the project plans, specifications, standards, approved submittals, and code requirements. Oversaw the removal and replacement of non-conforming work, and stopped work that is not in compliance with the contract or core requirements. Reviewed all potential discrepancy reports, determined discrepancy dispositions, tracked discrepancies through the Discrepancy Tracking Log, and verified that the issues have been fully corrected prior to closure.
Interfaced with the subcontractor Quality teams to ensure understanding and conformance of contract requirements. Developed meeting agendas and hold Quality Control Department Meetings. Conducted Initial Inspections, Preparatory Meetings, and other Quality Control Meetings. Coordinated Quality Control Department activities with other departments within Hensel Phelps.
Performed daily field inspections to verify that contractor work complied with the specifications and applicable codes. Submitted a daily log identifying areas inspected, tests performed, and any significant findings. Actively participated in the work completion tagging process, punch list process, and the pre-final punch list process to document deficient items in the field.

2005–2008 FEMEX Residential Construction: -Project Manager-
Responsibilities include ensure the office and field operations of construction. Scheduled and monitored the suppliers and subcontractors. Conducted project meetings and made sure of the cost control and expenses. Negotiated subcontractors, clients and vendors. Prepare budget and estimated the schedule and cost of the project. Worked with the engineers and architects. Responsible for the quality control, cost cutting, and requirements of the budget and project. Review basic architectures of the projects and specifications.
2000–2005 Department of Transportation: -Transportation Engineer
Managed the Design Construction and Maintenance Project for Roadways, and Bridges. This was while working with the different governing units such as Environmental, Maintenance Office Engineer, and Budget in accordance with the current Highway Design Manual and current governing codes.
Inspected construction for the new SFOBB (San Francisco, Oakland, Bay Bridge) to ensure conformance to the project plans, specifications, standards, and Industry Standards (ISO). Supervised design and construction of coffer dams, record-keeping and monitored construction for pier footing and driven piles on a day-by-day bases.
Designed engineering projects with Microstation. Projects are state routes 145 (widening and increasing stopping sight distance), 192 (Widening and correcting super elevation at some curves), 180 (resurfacing and addressing pavement failed areas), Mojave bridge project (incorporated bridges to mitigate flush flood areas).
Wrote reports known as PSR (Project Study report), experienced with technical writing, doing engineering calculation. Experienced in cost estimating, quantities, project managing, scheduling, plan reading. Assisted with engineering studies and provides engineering analyses and evaluation for each project.
