OBJECTIVE

My work experience, although especially diverse, and my field of study in

college, have molded me into a very well-rounded individual. I'm very

personable and I'm able to present myself in a friendly, competent manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Sciences

-Received Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Organismal Biology.

-Developed laboratory skills through Biological degree coursework and

gained familiarity in a lab setting while working as a laboratory

technician/assistant

-18+ months phlebotomy experience

Computer/Office Equipment Skills

-Experience working with major computer programs, Excel, Word, Outlook

Express.

-Comfortable operating office equipment (printer, scanner, copier, digital

camera etc.)

-Conducted donor eligibility interviews for United Blood Services using

Progesa Data Entry Program.

- Determined donor eligibility using OBI Donor ID program and online

intranet of Standard Order of Procedures.

Teamwork

-While working at both United Blood Services and Oklahoma Blood Institute

we had to work together to quickly/safely set up, conduct, and tear down 4

to 8 hour long blood drives daily.

-I learned the importance of carrying my own weight while working at the

Bramble Park Zoo. It was absolutely crucial that we were able to complete

our individual tasks quickly so that other projects around the park could

be tackled.

Communication Skills

-As a United Blood Services Technician and an Oklahoma Blood Institute

Phlebotomist, I would conduct several donor eligibility

interviews/screenings daily consisting of demographics and medical

screening. During the donation process, I tried to make sure the donor was

comfortable, and well informed.

-I have experience in public speaking. I have been involved in the Miss

South Dakota Organization where I had the opportunity to present a platform

of my choice to judges at a local and state level.

-I also gained experience public speaking while leading "Animal Encounters"

as an Intern at the Bramble Park Zoo. As the Assistant Education Director,

along with managing a youth volunteer group, I was responsible for leading

a 30 minute animal show displaying interesting reptiles and small mammals

to a crowd of about 15-30 every weekend afternoon.
