Extensive and diverse maintenance, warehouse and machine operations experience. A

ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Facility Maintenance
1 Responsible for maintenance at a 480,000 sq.ft./650-employee headquarters and the
adjoining 200,000 sq. ft. distribution center. Performed a range of general, electrical,
mechanical and plumbing duties. Inspected facility on a daily basis, responded to
work orders/emergencies and performed special projects. Maintained buildings to
code, established an excellent safety record and achieved high levels of customer
satisfaction.
2 Took a minimum of twice daily readings, ensured all gages were at proper settings
and made critical adjustments as required on chillers and boilers. Also assisted
HVAC mechanic with light to medium duty repairs.
3 Routinely performed work-station move and/or ergonomic upgrades projects on the
Kroll Modular Workstation System. In addition to regular minor modifications
managed 6-7 major relocations for anywhere from 20 to 130 stations every year.
Worked closely with department leaders to establish non-intrusive schedules and
balance other responsibilities. Always completed projects on schedule.
4 Recognized as a skilled flooring specialist and asked to manage installation of over
40,000 sq. ft. of carpet and 3,500 sq. ft. of ceramic tile after 2 major facility
renovations. Planned each project and directed temporary labor while completing
both projects ahead of schedule and under budget. Efforts and skills saved thousands
of dollars by avoiding use of outside contractors/vendors.
5 Personally plowed 1,500 space parking lot(s) after snow events. Always had lots in
acceptable and safe condition for employee arrival at 8 AM.
6 Assumed a regular rotation on the weekend/holiday “on-call” schedule. Always
responded to calls within an hour, assessed and resolved virtually all instantly.
Warehouse Operations
7 Promoted to newly created “Senior Position.” In this lead role, assisted management
throughout the distribution center in addition to managing the receiving process for
12-15 containers and a steady flow of material from local carriers each day. Unloaded
all containers, verified count and stocked materials on the same day, with minimal
overtime 90% of the time.
8 Eight years combined experience representing manufacturing and distribution
operations as an active member of the safety committee. Proposed and/or championed
the implementation of numerous safety changes or initiatives. Key examples include
developing new procedures for loading docks, replacing safety belts with harnesses
on picking machines and adding waste-oil catching pans to production equipment.

9 Key member and consultant on the team responsible for purchase of all material
handling equipment in the distribution center. Helped evaluate needs and advised on
vendor quality in addition to evaluating costs. Purchased over a dozen pieces of
equipment including forklifts, order pickers and swing lifts.
10 Helped managed the implementation of the conversion from Oracle to SAP Planning
systems in the distribution center. Ran test scenarios on “go live day” to validate
system, helped with several hundred location changes within the system and
coached/trained staff on system/tools as required. Achieved 80% effectiveness on
first day and 100% within first month.
11 Six years experience as a member of a team preparing bulk replenishment shipments
to regional distribution centers. Picked, performed quality checks and updated
documentation while loading an average of 6 truckloads of product a day.
Consistently met daily delivery schedule and maintained 100% accuracy.
12 Three years experience picking, packing and processing an average of 500-600
individual customer orders per day. Orders ranged in size from a single box to pallet
size. Also frequently researched and discovered most efficient/cost effective method
of shipment.
13 Successfully completed internal training program and became one of a few
individuals in the distribution center to assume responsibility for shipment of
hazardous materials. Picked, properly labeled and prepared documentation for 50-60
HAZMAT regulated shipments per day. Maintained a better than 93% quality records
with only minor documentation issues causing returns and never incurred a fine or
penalty.
Construction/Machinist
14 Set up and operated cold form headers used in production of nails and staples. Ran as
many as 6 machines simultaneously in a high volume production operation.
Accurately set up machines, performed preventative maintenance as required and
routinely offered suggestions to improve production and/or safety. Consistently met
daily productions goal, maintained a better than 95% quality standard.
15 Recognized the need/potential problem and proposed adding catch basins to cold
forming machines to capture waste/spilled oil. Successful solution significantly
improved appearance and safety of large work area.
16 Took initiative to modify wire spools feeding 1-16 gauge wire into cold forming
machines. Relocated pilot hole in spools, eliminating a failure problem that was
causing considerable waste and machine downtime on the 100 spools feeding the
machine.
17 Ten years of diverse, pre-Hilti, commercial/residential construction and remodeling
experience. Became skilled in light carpentry, plumbing and electrical installations
and repairs. Extensive experience in C-store remodeling.
