. Primary responsibility is to partner with four Regional Operations
Managers in the Southeast U.S. to reduce turnover at the management and
team levels, increase engagement and productivity and instruct managers
on human resource best practices. Work with each Manager individually to
create recruitment and retention strategies for their particular needs.
Region includes the corporate home office; therefore I am responsible for
the Corporate HR function as well. Utilize metrics to support management
directives and validate success of strategies.
. Direct all aspects of investigating and resolving employee relations
issues within my seven-state region. Review initial complaints and make
needs assessment. Coach line managers on how to handle minor situations,
guide Regional Managers on how to address, or travel to conduct
investigations personally. Responsible for all position statements to
EEOC, negotiating with team members and / or attorneys, representing
company during mediations and arbitrations as well as providing feedback
to executive management regarding risk and liability. Offer solutions
and alternatives which lead to swift resolutions therefore saving the
company from costly litigation.
. Create bi-annual Leadership Development Seminars for all managers in the
field. Instruct and Coach on topics such as Productive Work
Environments, Diversity and Inclusion, Proper Documentation, How to
Manage a Multi-Generational Workforce and Employee Engagement, etc.
Seminars are designed to develop managers to be guided by the company's
ethical code to always do the right thing, therefore creating a better
environment for all, leading to higher sales and profit.
. Designed and implemented regional staffing plans for each area which
resulted in the average management staffing level increasing from 82% in
2006 to consistently over 100% over the last twelve months. Challenged
Executive Management to re-think type of candidate, necessary recruitment
tools and overall recruiting philosophy which led to management turn-over
dropping drastically and recruitment becoming less of a reactionary task
and more of a piece of the succession plan. Created college recruitment
strategy which has proven essential to the success of management
staffing. First to utilize Social Media as a recruitment tool

. Created "You-Rock" recognition program to assist managers in the field
and an employee activity committee named T-MAC at the corporate office to
assist with employee morale and engagement.

. Originally hired to start up the recruiting team, but quickly promoted
to Employee Relations Manager for the 300+ employee facility in Baton
Rouge and 100+ employees in Houston facility. Primary function was
consulting and partnering with internal clients to provide consultative
support in staffing, compensation, performance management and policy
interpretation. This includes coaching and counseling of employees,
conducting investigations, coordinating terminations, educating and
guiding senior managers on employee relations issues and resolution
strategies as well as building relationships with all employees in order
to help them in their career path and to help create positive morale.

productivity. Act as strategic partner and change agent by aligning the

. Supervise the Human Resource administrative staff responsible for
supporting the company nation-wide. Responsible for file retention and
Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and auditing. Created the company's first
record retention policy outlining requirements for 4000+ active employee
files.
. Responsible for filing all immigration cases for entire company and its
subsidiaries: H1B visas, TN visas, labor certifications, visa
extensions, etc. Work closely with company legal team to maintain
compliance. Construct recruiting reports for USCIS review and update
the PERM website for the company. Created company's first Immigration
Policy and Procedure.
. Partnered with Training Department to help develop and facilitate
employee and management trainings such as New Hire Orientation,
Workplace Diversity Training, Productive Work Environment Training, and
Sexual Harassment in the Workplace.
. Coordinate all unemployment insurance claims activities, for the company
and all its subsidiaries, including initial review, decisions to protest
and case development.
. Contribute to various projects such as FLSA Salary and Compensation
Review, annual benefit open enrollment, re-write of Policy and Procedure

descriptions for Compensation Team and key role in 15% reduction in
