1989 - 2008

Worked as a Software Engineering (Programmer Analyst), developing reports

for various applications and systems throughout the 19 years as well as

gathering, defining, validating and documenting technical data and

requirements. As a programmer, the need to utilize Excel and develop

reports was great. Below is a brief synopsis of my Data Analyst and

Reporting experience:

. Auto Liability regulatory reporting to 16 states, automated procedures

and processes that validated over 200 CSP codes detailing vehicle

types, business type codes, state codes, and frequency of reporting.

. Interacted closely with Internal and External customers, training and

consulting on new processes and procedures

. Policy Issuance system developed and modified over 300 ISO forms and

Declaration pages and updated manuals.

. Made major enhancements to a small Claimant Billing Notification MS

Access application. This application required 1st, 2nd, 3rd and final

Billing Notifications to the Claimants. Detailed logic in the

backend, preventing double billing, amount owed, correct claimant,

etc. Totally redesigned the notification statements for clarity,

added legal state verbiage to the form, updated the database, and

modified the code for easier maintainable with reusable code.

. Researched major coding issues plaguing the Motor Vehicle Reporting

system; successfully redesigned the engine of the MVR system used by

40 Underwriters and Administrators.

. Researched information and developed monthly reporting on 52 agents,

using current year and previous 3 year historical data of losses and

premiums.

. Provided detailed data, calculations, and percentages, which compared

the number of approvals versus rejections in various populations

according to gender, race, and age for auto insurance, required

reporting to California for Red Lining issues.

. For the Complaint Tracking system collected information which provided

the number of complaints from various regions, agencies, the type of

complaints, and if the issue was resolved or not and how long it took

for resolution.

. Met with the CEO to gather and define a Corporate Contributions

reporting system, designed and developed monthly reports, providing

calculations of all funds donated to organizations for the month and

general information about the organizations desiring funds. These

monthly reports also provided a running tally of up-to-date funds on

demand.

. Uncovered a major error in a Barcode system that was plaguing the

business. After various test runs and analyzing the data, discovered

that various areas of the system were still pointing to a test

environment.

. Performed BA needs with approximately 56 agents in order to Design and

Develop an application, allowing nightly FTP data upload and download

processes. This application process eliminated the need for postal

mailings of diskettes, decreasing postal costs.
