leading and managing software development groups. In addition I
have strong hands on experience in highly scalable and available
SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) architecture and design.

2009 - Current RezzMap
Bedford,NH
Cofounder & Chief Technology Officer
Pre-Funding startup that provides aggregation and relevance
services for Email, Social Network and RSS Feed data. Company
produced a private beta but has failed to gain traction with the
VC and Angel community.
Architected, deisgned and implement prototype versions of product
in Java using a MySql database, JQuery AJAX framework.
Lead the migration of the prototype to Beta version of product
written using Grails framework, MySql database for content,
JQuery AJAX framework and HBASE for the RezzMap preference data.
Authored the open source Grails Sharding Plugin
(http://www.grails.org/plugin/sharding)
Identified an outsourcing company to help with Beta version
Managed Nepal based engineers in finishing final verion of Beta
for timely delivery
Co-wrote business plan, pitch deck, financial plan, etc
Assembled various engineering and operations budegets
2007 - 2009 Cisco Systems

Senior Engineering Manager
Top 10% Senior Manager at Cisco Systems, Inc.
After the acquisition of WebEx Communications by Cisco Systems,
took over the management of a group of eight Quality Engineers
and Quality Engineering Manager in addition to the 17 person
Software Engineering group.
Grew the combined Software Development and Quality Engineering
group to 36 engineers.
Re-organized the group, moving four Senior Engineers in to new
positions as Engineering Managers.
Trained the new Engineering Managers to be effective managers
while still contributing to the success of their projects.
Lead a global team of 100+ engineers in Boston, California, China
and India to bring the Connect Product to market.
Rolled several new initiatives through the development group
including, automated unit tests, virtualized test beds and 100%
automation of web service APIs.
Worked to end-of-life the IntranetsKK service (Japan) and closed
down the development group supporting it.
Continued to support the existing Web Office product with minimal
distraction to the new Connect project initiative and with an eye
towards migrating the customer base and sales and marketing
efforts to a Connect based Web Office.
Completed the transition of the software engineering group from
working in a DotNet environment to a Java and Dojo based
environment.
2005 - 2007 WebEx

Software Development Manager
After the acquisition of Intranets.com by WebEx Communications,
took over the management of a group of 11 Software Engineers
responsible for the Intranets.com/Web Office product line.
Recruited and grew the group to include 17 Software Engineers
while managing the typical post acquisition turnover.
Managed the rollout of the several releases including a new
WebMail service.
While managing the development of the Web Office product line,
joined the management team working on the early-stage development
of a new product initiative, WebEx Connect.
As a member of the management team provided feature requirement,
system architecture and design guidance on the new product
initiative.
Began the move of the software engineering group from working in
a DotNet environment to a Java and Dojo based environment to work
on the new WebEx Connect product initiative.
2000 - 2005 Intranets.com
Burlington, MA
Principal Software Engineer
Lead developer for Intranets.com, a dotcom ASP founded in 2000
that serves over 250,000 paying users; acquired by WebEx. During
this period, I assisted the company in transitioning from an
advertising revenue model to paid subscriptions and led the
successful effort to convert the product from ASP to the .Net
framework. In addition, I served as key developer for or
consultant to almost all high profile feature development
projects at Intranets.com.
Successfully led a team of eight developers to integrate the
Intranets.com and WebEx products following the acquisition by
WebEx.
Lead developer on the project for Columbia Accident Investigation
Board (CAIB). This project required customization of our product
to coordinate all requests between the CAIB and NASA.
Lead development member of the cross-functional site operations
group, developed the disaster recovery plan for the product and
executed several tests of this plan.
Designed and developed the billing system that the company uses
to bill over $1 million a month in subscriptions.
Principal Engineer for all of our SQL database issues. I oversaw
the schema, stored procedures and queries against our system.
1998 - 2000 Client Server Engineering Services

Software Consultant
Wrote, tested, implemented and supported a dynamic web-based
table editor for Fleet Investment Management.
Assumed responsibility for a high-volume production reporting
system that required significant redesign and implementation of a
quality control system to monitor the accuracy of the reports.
Lead system consultant for a major multinational software
development client, establishing replication services between 13
multinational SQL Server databases.

Network Engineer
Operated and maintained a nation-wide TCP/IP based credit card
network for chain merchants including Musicland, The Gap, Pier 1
Imports, Barnes & Noble, Bugle Boy and The Buckle.
