Resume:

September **, ****

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to express my interest in the Laboratory Technician

position you are currently seeking to fill. The knowledge and experience I

received while attending UMKC has provided me with a solid foundation in

the Science field; particularly Biology and Chemistry. I enjoy learning new

concepts and techniques and I am ready to put my skills to work.

I have a very long stable work history as my Resume will show. I was

recently an employee with Adecco Technical and Engineering working as a

temp in the QA Release department at Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc:

one of the largest Pharmaceutical and Biologicals companies in the World.

As a temp in the Quality Assurance department I have received a large

amount of training in industry cGMP's and company specific SOP's. My

position requires sharp attention to detail and accuracy to ensure quality

and compliance with company and Federal guidelines. I am a very organized

and detail oriented person with the ability to multitask in order to get

work done in an efficient and accurate manor. I am confident that I would

make a great addition to the team and the organization as a whole.

I am very excited about this opportunity and look forward to putting

my education to use. Thank you for your time and consideration. If you have

any questions please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Jeremiah Fawver

BA in Biology and Chemistry

Academic Experience:

During my course of study at UMKC I worked in the Bio-

informatics laboratory for a semester with Dr. Gerald Wyckoff. My

research involved employing a comparative bio-informatic approach to

gain insight into the precise functions of a family of proteins called

PITP's. Using several different databases and computer programs, I

compared DNA sequence data as well as protein structural motif data to

determine possible similarities in function between known proteins and

PITP's. This work gave me experience in gathering, assimilating and

finally interpreting data in order to determine its relevance and

impact on the study.
