As an employee at the Family Thrift Center Pharmacy I was
able to work in all the different areas of the pharmacy. As a
tech I was inputting, filling, customer service, billing,
shipping, receiving, checking in orders, scheduling, and
problem solving. I communicated on a daily basis with private
insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and Drug Companies.
I have done Medicare and Medicaid paperwork as well as prior
authorizations and MC-6 Forms. I am very familiar with the
drugs and their significant uses. I enjoyed my job there and
hated to leave. I had the privilege to learn two different
systems. I learned NRX and ADSRX. I also did a lot of minor
repairs to the printers and computers. I trained new
employees on the system and within the pharmacy.
