I have a range of experience in the mechanical, electronics, and

communications. I've worked with copper and fiber for the communications

part. I also worked as an electrician doing residential and commercial.

My last five years of experience is in technician work. I installed computers

and servers for an intrusion detection system for the US Army.

When I was self-employed this job gave me a lot of satisfaction in what I

did. I provided labor to companies that refurbished and built new detention

centers and jails. I had to engineer and bid on projects. Some things we

were unable to do I would sub it out. This means I had to meet with other

contractors, take their bids, and keep up with their work. We also had to

keep up with our side of the job. Also, I did a wide range of jobs like

welding, wiring, fabricating parts, and electronics.

At Wolverine tube I was crane operator, a furnace operator, group leader,

Inspector, and filled in as a Forman. I enjoyed my work at the facility and

hated to see it go. The only reason I left was because I was worried about

the future of the company. They were cutting jobs out and hours back. I had

a better offer on a good job and I took it. Sometime after I left the plant

closed down.

company and do a good job.

Work History

2005-Present I work for DRS as a technician I have been working on the

I CIDS I I I project. I have two certificates from CIX and PM/FPS showing

t hat I am qualified to work with DAQ and Starwatch products. For the

past five years, I have been in the field installing, doing warranty, and

GSA projects. I have worked as a Senior Tech doing communications and

building data for the past three sites. I have been on two site surveys.

2002-2005 I was self employed and did contract work where I provided

l abor for G M & R Services 256-***-****). I replaced doors, security

systems, and control towers. I also did welding, electrical, and new

security systems. What G M & R Services could not do, they would sub

t hem out, and I had to keep up with the other contractors work and

i nventory.

1994-2005 I worked for Turan Electric 256-***-****). I did wiring for

residential and businesses as a part time job.

1977-2002 I worked for Wolverine Tube 256-***-****) in Decatur,

A labama where I worked as a crane operator, furnace operator, forklift

operator, group leader, and filled in as foreman. During my time here I

set 6 production awards. I saw that the company was about to close so I

took another job.
