Selected Accomplishments
Increased Emerson Sales at Home Depot 30% first year and 25% second year.
Sales for Emerson plumbing supplies distributed at Home Depot were flat.
Developed sales plan and launched new products with up-dated packaging.
Retrained Home Depot employees and improved displays. Created marketing
collateral with success stories and pictures. Made "success stories" part
of sales Best Practices company-wide.
Opened new markets for ClosetMaid, increasing dealer base 100%+. Sales were
steady but market share and brand awareness was low for custom closet
company. Identified and targeted US markets without dealers in the area,
running an ad campaign that increased national visibility. Partnered with
big-box hardware retailers to implement an install program. Expanded to
Canadian market.
Developed sales training program for Emerson Hardware, rolling-out new
sales reps in two weeks. Company did not have effective training for new
sales force. Created successful training program by partnering with Emerson
divisions as well as key client, Home Depot. Designed training modules
incorporating Best Practices, theory, product knowledge, time management
and sales techniques. Launched course company-wide.
Improved order fill rates 15% and increased sales for ClosetMaid by
developing inventory program. Laminate division was struggling with
inventory management. Streamlined forecasting process and partnered with
suppliers to target peak months to build inventory ahead of rapid upward
fluctuations in sales. Adjusted product supply to increase high-volume
components and cut low-selling items.
