RE: Inventory Assistant
Dear Human Resource Recruiter:
I read with interest your Indeed.com posting for an Inventory Control
Coordinator. You will find my experience in Inventory Management for
Fortune 500 companies very deep, broad and an excellent fit for your needs.
Flexibility and adaptability are two of my talents, which have helped
develop my varied experience and 'global vision'.
Most recently, I was DC Services Supervisor at the PetSmart
distribution center in Groveport. I was recruited to manage a $27M
inventory in a 600,000 sq. ft. facility, to facilitate installation of
Manhattan's new WM (next generation PkMS). My responsibilities included
daily Cycle Count Compliance, Storage Management, Q/C auditing,
coordinating with central Purchasing to manage and process perishable
items, returns shipments and store customer service.
Previously, I was recruited by Advance Auto Parts to be Inventory
Control Manager, and serve on the initial management team for the start-up
of a new 45,000+ sku distribution center, and to configure their new WMS
(Exeter). My responsibilities at Advance also included; Replenishment
Manager, Ops Manager overseeing Outside Sales Receiving and
Shipping/Customer Service as well as developing their Reverse Logistics
operations which were implemented across their network. My operation
included scheduling, receipts and shipping for bulk orders to outside
customers.
I was in Purchasing as a Buyer for Fruehauf Trailer Corp. issuing
purchase orders to 60 vendors to manage $2 million in inventory. My
responsibilities included order follow-up, sourcing and cutting special
orders, and customer service contact with the branches and dealers.
Prior to that, I worked for Nationwise Automotive in the corporate
headquarters and DC as a Supervisor in Inventory Management. I was
responsible in part for the Rebuyers, in Purchasing as an Assistant Buyer,
as a forecaster for store replenishment, supervised Store Special
Orders/Customer Service, in Distribution (including supervising the Returns
and Inventory Control departments), and in Retail Management in the stores.
Such a background required maturity, stability, excellent interpersonal
skills, and attention to detail as well as an ability to prioritize.
I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you to explore the
contributions I could make to your operation. Please contact me at my home
telephone number 740-***-****, or cell number 614-***-****.
Sincerely,
Mark L. Buynak
