I have completed a Paralegal certification course that is offered through Weber State

U niversity and offered by The Center for Legal Studies. I completed the course August

2010. This course has been very detailed in the work of a paralegal and has gone into

depth about more than simply clerical duties. I have learned the following from the

course:

• Preparing legal documents such as memos, pleadings, demand letters and more

• Legal Terminology

• Legal In terviewing

• Legal Investigation

Also, I will be completing my Associate’s Degree this fall in General Education and

w ill continue on to my Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Psychology after that.

Work Experience

Animal Medical Clinic, Receptionist – August 2009 –

Began working as a cleaner cleaning the clinic after hours. Moved up to Kennel Tech which

involved taking care of the hospitalized and boarding dogs and cats, administering

medications, documenting tasks. Moved up again to Receptionist where I now answer

phones with a multi-line system, manage the doctor’s schedules, make appointments, talk

with clients and explain things to clients as well as educating them on certain medical

information regarding their pets, assisting the doctor’s and veterinary technicians with

any tasks they need help with such as medicating or bandaging an animal.

TKKorral – Self Employment, Horse Training and Showing – October 2005 – Present

Work with clients to assess training needs. Tailor training program to achieve desired results.

Break and train horses for various uses including pleasure riding and showing. Show horses

in local and regional horse shows for clientele. Provide care for special need horses. I also

teach riding lessons to people of all ages.

Train ponies for use at children’s pony parties. Ensure ponies are sound and safe for children

children enrolled in the 4-H horse youth program in English riding skills and provide coaching
